California Historical Society presents "The Mission" Book Discussion (Open to the Public)

The Mission District's famous public murals are works of art that depict Latin American culture, resistance to political oppression, passion for environmental justice, and outrage at gentrification. Join Dick Evans, photographer and author of The Mission; Carla Wojczuk creator of These Walls Speak: PLACA; and Susan Cervantes, founder of Precita Eyes Muralists Association for a panel discussion featuring the Mission’s history and culture and the artists who have created these colorful neighborhood compositions.

A Q&A and book signing follows the discussion.
